OpenVPN Client on Ubuntu
If you have an OpenVPN configuration profile and want to import it in Ubuntu, follow these simple steps.
First, install the GUI for managing OpenVPN profiles.
sudo apt-get install network-manager-openvpn-gnome
Next, open Network Connections. You can just search this from the Dashboard.
Click on the Add button and a window will appear.
Select “Import a saved VPN configuration…” and click on “Create…”. Afterwards, look for the .opvn file in your computer.
Fill in the necessary information like username, password and key phrase (if applicable). Finally, click on Save.
To test the VPN profile you have just added, select the newly added VPN profile from the Network Manager on the upper right portion of the screen.
